Khaled Albadawi Greater Seattle CPA, Executive, and Nonprofit Leader 

Khaled Albadawi has a long history of achievement as a business and organizational leader. Early in his career, Khaled led a team of more than 70 employees as general manager of a restaurant where Khaled reduced labor costs by 4 percent and food costs by 2.5 percent. For college, Khaled Albadawi enrolled at the University of Kansas, where Khaled majored in accounting. Khaled went on to earn both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, during which time Khaled served as a teaching assistant, head teaching assistant, and lecturer. Khaled later worked at KPMG, one of the Big 4 accounting firms, as a risk consultant. In this capacity, Khaled created and implemented control-based testing for public and private clients in the technology, financial services, real estate, and other industries.  

Mr. Albadawi continues to build on his early record of success in the present day. Now a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Washington, Khaled is integrally involved with two accounting firms that cater to small businesses.  

The first of these, Diwan Accounting, was founded by Mr. Albadawi in 2020. Since then, it has connected doctor’s offices, web designs firms, and other small organizations with high-level accounting and finance assistance. Under Mr. Albadawi’s leadership as principal and CEO, his second firm, TL;DR Accounting, focuses on the needs of private therapy practices, giving them the financial tools to expand no matter their current size. 

A leader in his community, Khaled Albadawi serves as treasurer and board member of Islamic Relief USA, a humanitarian nonprofit providing disaster relief, food aid, refugee support, and education and health initiatives around the world. Khaled and his fellow board members strive to draw on the revelations of the Quran to further the nonprofit’s vision of ridding the world of poverty. Mr. Albadawi also maintains a seat on the board of trustees of another Islamic charity organization, where Khaled represents the Seattle chapter.
